ICA Leather publishes its first Sustainability Report: sustainability as a corporate culture

ICA Leather has published its first Sustainability Report for the 2024–2025 two‑year period, a document that marks a fundamental step in the company’s strategy and transparently testifies to a genuine commitment to responsible growth. The report was prepared on a voluntary basis, confirming a conscious choice: to integrate sustainability into decision‑making and production processes beyond mere regulatory requirements.

The document provides a clear, detailed view of the path the company has taken to build an ethical, efficient and future‑oriented industrial model. From resource management to the enhancement of human capital, ICA Leather has collected and analyzed performance indicators that describe its integrated approach to sustainability. The company’s actions are presented with precise data, measurable objectives and improvement plans, making the report a genuine tool for strategic planning.

Among the central themes is the concept of circular bio‑economy applied to the tanning supply chain, which also valorizes processing residues through recovery and transformation into fertilizers, biostimulants, construction additives and biofuels. An approach that closes the material loop in an environmentally respectful way and is also reflected in efficient water management and rigorous selection of the substances employed, with the adoption of an internal RSL more restrictive than current regulations.

The 2024–2025 Sustainability Report also devotes ample space to social topics, underscoring the centrality of people in the company vision. Workforce stability, inclusiveness, welfare policies and training paths are the foundations of a professional context geared to well‑being and continuous growth. This is complemented by a commitment to workplace safety and the promotion of a collaborative environment in which experience and new skills merge daily.

Responsibility naturally extends to the supply chain: ICA Leather has initiated a mapping of its strategic suppliers to verify compliance with the highest international standards in animal welfare, as well as labor rights and ESG criteria. A commitment that promotes a shared culture of transparency and responsibility along the entire chain.

Finally, engagement with the local area and its communities represents another key piece. ICA Leather actively participates in the life of the Veneto tanning district, promotes educational projects in collaboration with local technical institutes and supports initiatives in favor of local organizations.

The 2024–2025 Sustainability Report is the manifesto of a profound commitment that interprets sustainability as a culture to be cultivated every day: a distinctive value that guides brand vision and defines its positioning in the international tanning landscape.
